Angela has 20 years of business leadership experience in digital transformation environments having built a reputation for oversight in the adaption of new technologies that lend towards operational sustainability and innovative strategic thinking.

She is an accomplished and resourceful professional with extensive experience in managing public affairs, developing and strengthening stakeholder partnerships, and advocating for policy reform in diverse issue areas.

A leader, well trained in high performance teams, she is currently the Head of Sub Saharan Africa at the GSMA, a trade body that represents the interests of 800+ mobile operators worldwide and stakeholders in the wider ecosystem.  

Prior to that, she served in various capacities at Safaricom PLC and remains committed to digital & gender inclusion, particularly in the domain of connecting the unconnected, and the advancement and acceleration of a digital African continent.

Angela holds a Executive Masters in Business Administration degree from University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from University of Nairobi.
